Shelter Belt

At our 2024 WDS weekend in Franklin, TN, “The Shelter Circle” was introduced to our FA family. “The Shelter Circle” has many meanings, originally taken from the imagery of a Shelter Belt of trees that provide shade, protection, wind breaks, and habitat for so much of God’s creation. In that imagery, we want FA to be a Shelter for so many of the pastors that lead the Church and a respite for all of those who serve… “Surrounding those that serve others….”

As a part of our campaign to build our very own pheasant lodge in Presho, SD, FA committed to plant trees to commemorate the faithful giving of our WDS family and even many more outside the FA family. To date, over 9,000 trees have already been planted across the grassy plains of the Dakota Fellowship Lodge property, with at least 2,500 more coming in the Spring of 2025! These small saplings might not seem very protective now…. But our children, and our children’s children, will one day enjoy the shade and “Shelter” of the trees that we were able to sow…. Thank you for your faithful giving and the blessings that it will provide for generations to come.
